Privacy Policy

All ring size calculations — whether from the Screen Sizer or Camera Sizer — are computed entirely within your browser. Results are stored in your browser's localStorage, a private device-local store that we cannot access. You can clear this at any time by tapping the × on the size badge.

• Server Logs: Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) — auto-deleted after 30 days, used only for security and uptime monitoring.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people visit, roughly which country they arrive from, and whether they are on a phone or a desktop. Google processes this on our behalf as our analytics provider. We use it to understand which guides are worth writing more of — we cannot see who you are, and we never attempt to identify individual visitors.
• Cookies We Set: Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_5LVB082VVJ. Their only job is to tell a returning visit apart from a new one so visitor counts are not wildly overstated. We set no advertising cookies, run no ad network, and do no cross-site tracking or profiling.
• No Data Sharing: We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.
• Your Measurements Stay Local: None of the above touches your ring size. Camera frames, hand landmarks and your measured size never reach us or Google — they are processed on your device and stored only in your own browser.

If you would rather not be counted, any content blocker will stop analytics loading, or you can install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking it changes nothing about the sizing tools — they will work exactly as before.

The Camera Sizer requests camera access only when you choose to use it. This permission is optional — the Screen Sizer works with no camera at all. You may revoke camera permission at any time through your browser settings; this only prevents the Camera Sizer from functioning and affects no other feature.

Because your measurements never reach our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to export, correct or erase — you can delete everything we hold about your sizing by clearing your browser storage, without asking us. Where data protection law still gives you rights over the limited server logs described above, those rights apply in full:

• UK & EU (UK GDPR / GDPR): Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
• California (CCPA / CPRA): The right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.
• India (DPDP Act 2023): Rights of access, correction and erasure of personal data, and the right to grievance redressal. Contact us and we will respond.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the tools require no account and no personal details, a child using the site to measure a ring would not provide us with any personal data. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may link to jewellers, retailers or reference sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and their own tracking, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data. This policy covers only this website. See our terms and conditions for more on third-party sites.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The “last updated” date at the top of the page will change whenever we do, and material changes will be reflected here rather than announced by email — we have no mailing list to announce them on. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
